The Department of Biological Sciences seeks applications for Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 adjunct lecturers for one or more of the following courses:
1. Principles of Microbiology lab
2. Principles Cell and Molecular Biology (Majors-level Biology) Lab
3. Non-majors Biology (Lecture and Lab)
Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to integration of faith and learning in their respective fields. The applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to working with students of color and encouraging diversity.
Teach the above-mentioned coursework in biology.
Transfer knowledge including theory, practical skills, methods and techniques in his/her related field.
Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and thinking regarding biology.
Facilitate the learning of first-generation college students and incorporate culturally-relevant pedagogy within the classroom.
Collaborate with department faculty in curriculum implementation, student support and continuous program improvement.
Master's degree (MS or MA) or higher in biology or a related field.
Demonstrated teaching ability regarding 1st and 2nd year students.
A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to an integration of faith and learning.
