The University of Tennessee Foundation is seeking an Associate Director of Donor Relations & Development at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). Reporting to the Senior Director of Advancement Services and Annual Giving, the Associate Director will be responsible for executing comprehensive donor relations efforts for UTHSC. The Associate Director offers guidance to development officers on college-based activities and provides best practice resources to entire Development and Alumni Affairs team to enrich development and engagement efforts.
The Associate Director of Donor Relations and Development fosters and encourages private gift support through varied functions of acknowledgment, stewardship, recognition and engagement while contributing to development projects and processes. This individual creates written and digital correspondence and manages efficient processes of properly thanking donors for contributions. The Associate Director prepares and distributes endowment and impact reports to demonstrate good stewardship of donors' investments. This individual is responsible for implementing a campus-wide program to consistently recognize donor investments with relevant communications, recognition and engagement opportunities. The Associate Director manages stewardship plans of top donors to ensure continued engagement with UTHSC. In addition, the Associate Director works closely with the Senior Director Advancement Services and Annual Giving and the Vice Chancellor of Development and Alumni Affairs on development projects that drive increased giving and support the overall goals of the department.
Located in Memphis, Tennessee, University of Tennessee Health Science Center serves thousands of patients across Tennessee every day, with nearly 3,000 students enrolled at major campuses in Memphis, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville, plus 1,200 medical resident and fellows in training. The UT Foundation Advancement manages all alumni, development, and philanthropic endeavors of the University of Tennessee and its Health Science Center campus in support of academics, research, clinical care and public service.
