Neurobiologist with Expertise in Stress Response and Neurological Disorders Departments of Pathology and Biochemistry & Biophysics, University of California San Francisco
The Department of Pathology at the University of California San Francisco seeks an outstanding neurobiologist for a full?time tenure?track (Ladder Rank) position at the level of Full Professor. The successful candidate will direct a research program focusing on the role of stress response pathways in learning, memory and the pathophysiology of neurological disorders. The candidate will have a joint appointment with the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics, and be an integral member of the vibrant Weill Institute of Neurosciences in the UCSF Mission Bay Campus. S/he will have an exceptional track record of innovative accomplishment in basic/translational research funded by a robust portfolio of extramural grant support. Candidates with an established track record in working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional duties will include departmental and university teaching for graduate students and medical students commensurate with the individual’s qualifications and interests. S/he will be proposed for membership in the Neuroscience and Biomedical Science (BMS) Graduate Programs.
The successful candidate must possess a PhD, MD or MD/PhD. Individuals with a documented record of grant support are highly desirable. Salary and appointment rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and training.
