This Social Work Inpatient Resource Specialist will be responsible for:
Working in tandem with members of the BCH social worker department to support the inpatient programs on the main campus.
Assisting in accessing hospital and / or outpatient placement in accordance with treatment and / or discharge plan formulated by clinical care team.
Providing a wide range of support to families who are in need of services including accessing food, housing, summer camp, daycare, financial aid and community based resources and activities.
Assisting families struggling with financial hardship and medical complexity within a diverse, multi-cultural population.
To qualify, you must have:
Associate's degree in Human Services or related field, with two to three years of previous applicable professional experience is required. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work highly preferred.
The ability to work with a diverse, multi-cultural population and dedication to working with families struggling with financial hardship and medical complexity.
Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
