The Director of Gift Planning is responsible for building and managing a comprehensive planned giving program to support the mission of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. The Director of Gift Planning will create and effectively market a legacy giving society, analyze current and future opportunities, manage a portfolio of planned giving donors and high potential prospects and, create detailed stewardship plans and outreach strategies to meet ambitious goals for long-term revenue growth.
The Director of Gift Planning serves as the senior development professional in lifetime testamentary gifts, and is responsible for providing leadership for the implementation and administration of the campus-wide gift planning program, in accordance with industry best practices. The Director works with a team of professional and administrative staff, chief development officers, and major gifts officers in all university colleges, programs, and university-affiliated foundations in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of planned giving donors. This position also manages key internal and external relationships to promote the marketing, acceptance, risk management, and administration of deferred and complex outright gifts.
