The Department of Biological Sciences seeks a full-time Laboratory Specialist. During the academic year, the Laboratory Specialist will assist with both the introductory-level lecture and upper-level laboratory courses, teach introductory biology laboratory courses, order supplies, chemicals, and equipment for the department, and oversee maintenance of equipment and laboratory facilities. During the summer, the Laboratory Specialist will collaborate with faculty on pedagogy, research, and/or other projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in education and teaching. Teaching duties for the introductory-level courses will be 100% remote for Spring 2021.
