In close collaboration with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and local education agencies (LEA), this position will provide pre-employment transition services to students with disabilities ages 14-21 enrolled in Kentucky public schools. Qualifying students are eligible or potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation services.
Provide career exploration, counseling, and coaching.
Counsel and coach students on transition to post-secondary education.
Develop and coordinate work-based learning experiences.
Deliver work-readiness and social skills support.
Deliver self-advocacy training and support.
Record-keeping and reporting using electronic reporting tools.
Coordination of activities and services with partners.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Education or related field), Teacher Certification, and two years of related experience, or equivalent.
Master's degree (Education or related field) and Teacher Certification in Special Education preferred.
Knowledge of disability programs and policies to include vocational rehabilitation, special education, career and technical education, career pathways preferred.
Strong communication, organization, relationship building, leadership, and community consenus-building skills.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours strongly desired.
