The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics seeks a Clinical Associate at 30% clinical effort for a nonrenewable 6 month term. The appointee will focus on the clinical activity of children in inpatient and ambulatory settings including the University of Chicago Comer Children's ambulatory clinic and offsite ambulatory locations affiliated with the University of Chicago. The appointee will be a collaborative physician leader who will be positioned to succeed in a busy, dynamic environment and advance the clinical goals of the Section of Pediatric Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine. The Clinical Associate will be paid based on clinical shifts worked. The position does not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation is dependent on qualifications and is a benefit ineligible position.
The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe. The Pediatric Emergency Department, the only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center on the south side of Chicago, treats approximately 32,000 patients per year.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
