Dr. Bei Wu is seeking a full time Research Associate to play a key role in a study titled: Co-occurrence of DM (diabetes mellitus) and poor oral health, ADRD (Alzheimer's disease and related dementias), and mortality. This study will examine the effect of the co-occurrence of and poor oral health on ADRD and mortality among older adults in the U.S. This position will report directly to Dr. Bei Wu. The Research Associate will work closely with Dr. Wu to coordinate study activities and oversee achievement of study milestones. The Research Associate will be responsible for managing and constructing the datasets proposed in the study, which include merging, linking, cleaning datasets, and variable construction. In addition, he/she will conduct literature reviews and will be involved in presentation and manuscript preparation. The Research Associate will attend and participate in all study meetings.
1-2 years of experience working with large data sets and performing statistical analysis
1-2 years of experience performing research activities
Familiarity of statistical software, such as R, or SAS
Bachelor's degree required
Master level degree preferred
