For purposes of this job posting, these positions are listed as a 'Contract Appointment', however, employees selected for these opportunities will be redeployed to perform work for the Ashe Center as the host department via the UCLA Talent Match Program. Employees selected will remain in their home departments in their same payroll title and appointment type. The employee's rate of pay will remain the same and/or in accordance with policy or collective bargaining agreements. Employees will continue their UC benefits in accordance with policy or collective bargaining agreements. If selected, employees must commit to the position for its duration, and cannot be recalled to their home department during the committed period.
The Contact Tracer is responsible for reaching out to contacts of UCLA students, faculty and staff diagnosed with COVID-19 and providing them with information and guidance to stop the ongoing transmission / spread of COVID-19. The Contact Tracer will use a web-based platform and telephone to communicate with assigned contacts, obtain symptom information, refer contacts for testing, and provide instructions for quarantine and self isolation.
