The Practice Coordinator provides clinical and administrative support to Motility Procedures, Advanced and General GI. Responsible for answering telephone calls, scheduling clinic and procedural appointments, checking in and collecting copay from patients, rooming patients and obtaining vital signs, discharging patients and competing AVS review.
Additional duties include but are not limited to providing patient care support for appointments (check-in through discharge); scheduling clinic and procedural visits, monitor and work on assigned GI pools, provide customer service assistance to the staff, physicians, and patients; provide coverage assistance as needed to other GI areas.
Must be a flexible team player and manage multiple priorities to meet administrative and patient care needs. Provides excellence in customer service. May be required to float to Perlman GI clinic or Care Navigation Hub on occasion as directed by the manager/supervisor. Other related duties as assigned.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
Proven experience with scheduling clinic and procedural appointments.
