The Department of Translational Genomics is seeking a motivated part-time Programmer Analyst to join the Craig lab. The successful candidate will have significant experience in a research setting with demonstrated knowledge and competency in key functional areas.
The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate a willingness to learn and employ new skill sets that will contribute to the PIâs research program (both technically and intellectually) as he/she will be expected to contribute to the overall success and growth of the laboratory objectives.
Required to have experience with R within a Jupyter working environment.
Experience with Python within a Jupyter working environment.
Working knowledge within a Terra based environment.
Experience with next-generation sequencing data, and transcriptomic analysis.
Experience with project and time management.
Experience with UI feedback and interfacing with clients on unit tests.
Effective verbal and writtenÂ communication skills.Â
Be able to read and follow detailed instructions and record information clearly and accurately.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skill with high emphasis on collaboration, a meticulous attention to details, competent at working independently, and the ability to easily adapt to a wide scope of projects.
*This recruitment is for a part time position at 75% time (30 hours a week)
