The Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University has an occasional need for lecturers to teach precepts (sections) in our 100 and 200 level courses including An Introduction to the History of Art, Neoclassism through Impressionism, and Contemporary Art: 1950-2000. Appointment duty time is subject to enrollments and may be for either the fall 2020 and/or spring 2021 semesters depending on departmental need.Duties include leading weekly discussions, attending course lectures, meeting with the course instructor(s), holding regular office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Each hour-long precept assumes at least two hours of preparation. An advanced degree is required.
