This role will design, build and maintain data infrastructure for COVID-19 centralized clinical research recruitment both JHHS inpatient and outpatient research protocols.
Note: This position is not benefits eligible.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: The specific duties for this role will be creating the requirements for COVID related data extracts from the EHR record. Once data is acquired the data manager will design a REDCap database to warehouse the extract and create source documentation used by various research teams recruiting across the JHHS system. The data manager for will be responsible for maintaining the patient facing side of the registry and creating customized links for tracking entry into the registry. The data manager will be responsible for orienting new study teams whom acquire IRB permission to utilize the database.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
Comprehensive knowledge of data management in research is required.
Establish and conduct data analytics in social media platforms and websites to evaluate impact to registry enrollment.
Experience managing collaboration platforms for group collaboration projects and document development.
Use advanced knowledge base to formulate and perform research data analytical methods.
Ability to apply advanced analytical and data management skills to navigate the administrative and scientific implementation of project with multiple research protocols, and to identify and resolve situations requiring special attention.
Utilizing this knowledge, will ensure adherence to research protocols, operating procedures, and all associated internal/external regulations.
Ability to develop and monitor metrics for recruitment training and consults.
Responsible for preparing monthly data reports and annual progress reports with evaluation metrics to provide to senior leadership and funding agencies.
Will be involved in scientific discussions with ICTR leadership, partnering universities, project teams, faculty, and funding organizations.
Manages the development of moderately complex to complex tracking database/spreadsheet. This will include ensuring quality data collection, and storage.
Utilizing comprehensive knowledge will analyze data and have significant participation in the drafting/writing of scientific manuscripts.
Coordinates and take meeting minutes for program meetings.
Works closely with Community Collaboration Core (CCC) and collaborates on joint projects under the ICTR umbrella of research and community support.
Administers and ensures compliance with human resources policies and procedures.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills to work with a wide variety of audiences, including written communication.
Excellent organizational and project planning and management skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of scientific research design and methods, and ability to synthesize and interpret qualitative and statistical findings

Bachelors in nursing required, and advanced degree in nursing, public health, IT, or other related discipline required.
Five (5) years of IT experience required. Additional education may substitute for some experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Experience working within research study team roles and familiarity with IRB submissions
Proficiency in Microsoft suites, collaboration platforms, and social media platforms
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient with REDCap data design
Work requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with a diverse patient population.
Ability to be flexible with fast paced work in inpatient Attending Physicians, clinical research teams, and patients.
