Indiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for the position of Biology Laboratory Supervisor. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Sciences, this position provides instruction and technical assistance of assigned biology (and biology-related) lab sections, responsible for the preparation of instructional materials in various biology labs, evaluates student performance, maintains scientific apparatus for the lab and supervises hourly employees in the biology labs.
Primary responsibilities include conducting and teaching lab experiments and exercises in eight (8) lab sections per regular semester (and four lab sections per summer); provide instruction relative to techniques and gather and analyze results; and supervise students during lab sessions. This position will also teach lecture courses (in some lower-level courses) as needed; develop and prepare instructional materials used in conjunction with lab exercise; set up lab for experiments and exercises; provide assistance and teaching to students during lab sessions and set up lab course Canvas sites.

Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in biology, biological science, or a related field and two years of work experience, including one year of relevant teaching experience.
Skills in various biology labs. Ability to work with instrumentation. Ability to work with various software including Microsoft Office Suite.
