The mission of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is to cultivate academic programs of excellence, to foster a culture of scholarship for faculty and students, and to prepare students for advanced study, civic engagement, and a well-lived life.
The Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics invites applications for a full-time faculty position in mathematics or statistics. The position involves teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, depending on interests and skills. Currently, the department has 11 full-time faculty members serving more than 60 mathematics and physics majors and 30 minors. The department offers undergraduate majors in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Physics, several general education courses, and a Masters degree in Applied Statistics and Analytics. Position subject to final funding.
Teach courses in mathematics, statistics, or related fields, maintain an active research program involving students, mentor and advise students, and participate in department and university affairs. Engage in ongoing professional development (e.g., seminars and conferences) to stay current with cutting-edge pedagogies and methodologies. May be needed to work at alternative Regional Campuses or Sites.
Level and appointment: Open rank (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) eligible for term-tenure extended contract
For mathematics applicants, a Ph.D. is required. Statistics applicants should have either a Ph.D. or a Masters degree together with substantial industry experience.

An interest in helping students to integrate their faith and their studies.
All candidates should have experience teaching mathematics or statistics at the university level. The ideal candidate will have an active research program.
