This position is responsible for producing clinical and investigational radiopharmaceuticals and performs quality-control analyses using standard operating procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and research use following detailed written procedures
Performs standardized analytical analyses of final radiopharmaceutical preparations for clinical or research purposes.
Helps to perform basic maintenance on instruments used for clinical/research radiopharmaceutical production and quality control. Reports difficulties immediately.
Helps prepare sterile reagents used in the production of radiopharmaceuticals. Follows all appropriate written SOPs for pharmaceutical preparations 100% of the time.
Orders necessary supplies in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Checks loading dock for incoming packages and appropriately receives incoming orders.
Bachelor's degree in chemistry.
Good synthetic chemistry background.
Analytical chemistry experience is beneficial.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Experience working with radioactive compounds is beneficial.
Associate or bachelor’s degree or combination of equivalent experience and education.
Applicant Special Instructions:
This position involves usage of analytical equipment; High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Gas Chromatography GC. The employee must be detail oriented with good record keeping skills and diligence on daily responsibilities. Attention to details and ability to following standard operating procedures correctly are critical in this position since errors result in an estimate $1000-3000 dollar loss to the department.
This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

The hiring range for this position is $17.00 - $22.96 per hour.
