The College of Education invites applications for a part-time (.50 FTE), 12-month, academic wage hourly position. This position is anticipated to last 7 months.
The incumbent leads outreach and recruitment efforts for our clinically based teacher education programs on behalf of the College of Education. They work with Program Leads to plan and attend recruitment events to answer questions of current and future Clinically Based Elementary Education MAT/BS students. They assist our Clinically Based Elementary Education MAT and BS programs with recruitment-based projects. They plan social events and support social media campaigns. They answer questions from potential students and assist students in applying for the program. They work with Program Leads to develop partnerships with external agencies and/or communities to increase the visibility of degree pathways to a broad base of prospective students, with particular attention to communities that are under-represented in our programs.
The College of Education contributes to major national dialogues concerning research and the promotion of social justice in (1) the success of English language learners of all ages; (2) developmentally appropriate pedagogy for all ages; (3) learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics inside and outside of school; (4) the preparation of mental health and school counselors; (5) adult and higher education leadership. We develop change agents in the form of formal and informal educators, counselors, and leaders. These change agents identify issues and act towards social justice and the full-development of human potential and society.

The defined qualifications will need to be identified in the Minimum/Required Qualifications field.
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
Significant experience working directly with students in K12 or higher education.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
Typical office environment on the Corvallis Campus Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with some flexibility to staff and attend events.
Travel is occasionally required to recruiting venues in Portland and other locations as needed
