The George Mason University, Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) seeks a dynamic individual to support the research efforts of Mason faculty as a Contracts Administrator. OSP supports external funding for research, scholarly and creative pursuits while ensuring the university's financial, contractual and regulatory exposures are minimized. OSP provides guidance and support to the university's community in its research efforts. The Contracts Administrator will draft, review and negotiate grant, contract and subcontract terms and conditions to ensure they comply with university, state and federal requirements and will have a good working knowledge of regulatory requirements involving data protection and security. The Contracts Administrator will also draft, review and negotiate data use agreements, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements and memoranda of understanding on behalf of the University. In addition, the Contracts Administrator will coordinate with researchers, foreign and domestic sponsors and internal Mason units to ensure all safeguards are put into place for compliance with university policy and state and federal requirements prior to acceptance of the award.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and university rules and regulations related to grants, contracts and subcontracts;
Highly developed time-management, problem-resolution, and organizational skills;
Ability to foster an environment that supports teamwork, collaboration, and high-quality customer service;
Possess outstanding oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
State, federal or university contract experience is highly preferred.
