The Information Technology Specialist performs technical support work for users of computers and peripherals for Danville Community College. This position assists users with the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of information technology hardware and software. The IT Support Specialist is a resource person and first contact within the college for troubleshooting most computer hardware and software issues. The Specialist may also conduct basic one-on-one and small group training on the use of typical office software, or specialized applications used at Danville Community College.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with four years of experience in related positions. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
