This job reports to the Director of Library and Learning Services and pays a salary of $2,806. (Monthly Minimum under 12-month Contract)
This position is responsible for providing math tutoring services (individually) to the Learning Commons area for SKYCTC. Provides instructional support/assistance for all math courses and meets with students virtually or in-person at one of SKYCTC's six campus locations. Coordinates the work of the part-time math tutors and provides training and mentoring. Provides proctoring services for non-SKYCTC on-line courses. Participates in professional development to expand tutoring support to other subject areas, such as science and business, and assists with questions across the curriculum and computer issues. Serves on SKYCTC committees and other duties assigned by supervisor.
Associate's degree (related field) with three years experience; however, the preferred candidate would possess a Bachelor's degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Math Education, Secondary Math) with one year experience and additional experience in science and business. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; possess excellent customer service skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience handling confidential information and possess a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. Must be detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and ability to work independently or as a member of a highly-functioning team. This position requires a high level of professionalism and initiative, as well as the ability to meet deadlines, and to adjust to changing priorities.
