The Nursing Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Nursing Instructor for the SH campus.
This position could have teaching responsibilities at all campuses where nursing is taught, and will have an evening commitment as part of the load. This position will be responsible for full-time didactic and clinical instruction in the Nursing Program. Other duties include but are not limited to:
Course and curriculum development
Internal and external community service
Educational leadership and professional development.
Master's degree in Nursing with at least five years' experience in Nursing (two of which should be in Nursing education at or above the ADN level) is preferred. Medical-surgical experience preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Preference will be given to qualified applicant with previous teaching experience, experience with online content development and delivery, knowledge of nursing at the associate degree level and leadership experience.
Experience in, and understanding of the importance of, working with students from diverse backgrounds required. The preferred candidates should also have experience and sensitivity working with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work and learning environment in which students from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed and can thrive.
