We are seeking one or two forward-thinking innovators who are eager to join UC's newest academic unit as we build the next chapter in online education.
The Student Success Coordinator (SSC) is responsible for helping to retain students from the student’s initial confirmation to their graduation. The SSC provides operational support to students such as student consultation and advising, registration, course selection, student success strategies, and the timelines to complete all items regarding degree programs and certificates. The SSC works with faculty to identify a student’s schema, various student needs as they progress through their program and highlight student problem areas within the program. The SSC serves as a liaison between college advising personnel, faculty, and new and returning students. The SSC will have extensive contact with online students and will need to develop relationships that encourage and support student progression and program completion. The SSC will also be responsible for analyzing and understanding the data available about their student population and program.
Essential Job Functions:
Using a consultative advising approach, build professional relationships with new and returning students from 1st term through to graduation
Responsible for all their student population’s administrative support and customer service
Maintain knowledge of owned programs and remain current on program and college policies and procedures
Conduct Learning Preparedness Assessments with all incoming first-term students to gauge online program readiness and establish rapport
Conduct Mid-Term check-ins to gauge successful progress and problem solve issues that may have arisen
Improve retention benchmarks and graduation rates through early identification of at-risk behaviors and provide guidance to mitigate student persistence issues
Implement a communication plan designed to re-engage students that have not maintained continuous enrollment in the program or certificate
Monitor per term student reenrollment and registration processes, proactively calling and emailing students to ensure retention benchmarks are met
Develop a referral campaign with existing students to generate prospective student leads
Share programmatic enrollment data and trends as an active strategic member of Cross-Functional teams
Maintain the CRM to track all communication and interactions with students
Responsible for tracking and analyzing enrollment metrics
Work cross-functionally with marketing, recruiting and the colleges
Monitor student satisfaction and coordinate problem resolution with professionalism
Additional Application Information:
This position is based on the UC Main Campus in the Clifton area of Cincinnati, Ohio and the selected candidate will be expected to work on-campus
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in support of student retention within a higher education institution
Proficient in essential office technology (Ex: MS Office Suite applications)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
