UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a full time, day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join the UW Medicine Heart Institute in North Seattle. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with our renowned multi-disciplinary team that includes cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, sub-specialty nurses, advanced practice providers, researchers, and administrative staff to coordinate, support, and optimize the medical care of our complex patient population.
SCHEDULE: The Registered Nurse will work Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day. This is a no weekends, no holidays position.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Registered Nurse will assist physicians with procedures and will work with sonographers to monitor and run SETT tests. Essential functions will include:
Monitoring and checking defibrillators and similar equipment
Working knowledge of Universal Precautions
Patient education and teaching
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
BSN or MSN Graduate
IV certification and ACLS certification
Experience in cardiovascular nursing, ICU, ER or Telemetry
Experience with cardiovascular treadmill testing
EMR (EPIC) knowledge
