The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) School of Pharmacy has an opening for a Web Content Specialist to work with their PATIENTS Program. The PATIENTS Program is an interdisciplinary research team of community partners and researchers housed at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy that works to change the way we think about research by creating a path for health equity in West Baltimore. The program uses development of quality measures, assessment methods, and patient reported outcome measures.

Develops multi-media materials for The PATIENTS Program's clients, funded projects, partners, campus/community initiatives, and outreach events.
Execute tasks for assigned projects using audio/visual, multimedia, still photography and video production.
Independently design and create promotional collateral material for PATIENTS Day and grants, as appropriate.
Assist in the design, develop, documentation, and implementation of Internet-based applications to meet the needs of the Program to communicate internally and externally. Apply new media technologies and best practices for web, email, mobile, and social media platforms.
Assist in the implementation of web content strategies to improve internal and external communications.
Generate interest and convey messages through persuasive multi-media content.
Present content clearly in accordance with editorial policy and web graphic treatments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in public relations, computer science, communications, marketing, journalism, business administration, or closely related field. Public health, graphic or instructional design, or videography, preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in communications, journalism, technical writing, marketing, or web development. Graphic design, videography, or public health preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Proficient with applications and motion graphics, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and non-linear editing systems, such as Adobe Premiere. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.
