Jefferson College is seeking an Instructional Designer to assist faculty with the design of appropriate instructional delivery methods for both new courses and existing courses. Responsibilities also include coordinating and/or conduct workshops for faculty that address a broad range of faculty development needs; training faculty for delivery of online and hybrid courses; providing tier two support for faculty and student support of Canvas; developing instructional manuals for emerging technologies; and ensuring systematic process for closed captioning videos in all online courses. This is a grant funded position that will end on April 30, 20210.
A Bachelor’s degree required—a Master’s Degree is Preferred. Minimum of three years relevant full-time experience. Knowledge working with Canvas or other current learning management system. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving and time management skills. Expertise in various applications related to educational technology; awareness of current and emerging trends in educational technology. Skills in assessment and pedagogy.
