This position is responsible for working with the Central Housing and Residence Life staff to oversee the overall operation of the residence hall including discipline, occupancy management, maintenance, staff supervision, and desk operation.
Coordinate the Residence Life program in conjunction with faculty College Heads in residential colleges of 200-550 residents in Murray State’s Residential College System
Supervise a student staff of 8-12 Resident Advisors and 1 Desk Supervisor, as well as a 24-hour front desk operation for the hall
Serve as the primary on-call staff member for a designated residence hall, as well in an on-call rotation for an on-campus population of approximately 2,500 residents
Provide crisis management support in support with campus and community resources
Enforce programming and other staff requirements through ongoing training and evaluation
Serve as the primary judicial officer for conduct in the hall
Summer work opportunities available within the department for camps and conferences
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Required
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Previous residence life experience.
Has been through housing training of some type.
