NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Advising in the Undergraduate College. The Associate Director will provide academic advising, general counseling, and related student services for prospective, new, and currently enrolled students. The Associate Director will familiarize students with resources and opportunities available, spearhead efforts to support Stern’s international students, develop pathways to facilitate early graduation, and create, manage, and deliver academic support programming for targeted student populations. The Associate Director will also coordinate logistics, programming and support for Stern students studying away from NYU NYC, represent Stern on University-wide committees, manage staff, oversee updates to the website, and marketing of academic programs through the use of social media, webinars, and publications.
Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree along with 5 years of experience in counseling, student services, event planning, or related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate must possess excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills, the ability to professionally interact with all levels of students, staff, faculty, and outside groups, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
