This position will serve as an informational, directional, and coordinating guide to what is offered at ESCC. This position serves as the front-desk professional for all clients, customers and students entering the Workforce Development Services (WDS) building. This includes: • Assisting the general public by answering questions and providing general information • Having a strong understanding of College operations in support of its One Door initiative that links Workforce Services and Student Academic Services • Coordinating all community facility rentals client contracts, maintaining room reservation calendar thru EMS Lite application, and ensuring supporting resources are available for reservations (IT, room set-ups, etc) • Directing inquires to appropriate offices • Providing receptionist services and clerical assistance to departmental staff • Providing support for the Pearson Vue Testing Center • Serving as back-up to WDS Generalist • Assisting students in completing initial paperwork for Workforce classes (FastForward, FANTIC, etc) • Coordinating of duties assigned to other WDS front desk staff • Collecting of payments and ensuring secure processing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong organizational skills • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to take direction and work independently • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritize tasks • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products • Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment • Intermediate experience in computer use and in an office environment required
