The Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development invites applications for a full-time faculty member with expertise in Early Childhood development and education at the Full Professor (with tenure) level. Candidates must have a history of successfully obtaining external funding, conducting rigorous implementation/outcomes research, and producing excellent scholarship that is influential both within the academic literature and the national and international conversation on early development. The specific area of research focus should relate to transdisciplinary early childhood development, education, special education, dual language learners, and childhood and family wellbeing. Examples of interdisciplinary research focus may include: antibias/antiracist practices in teacher preparation, early childhood health, and wellbeing across contexts, or policies and practices in urban school districts or targeted early childcare and education.

Doctorate in education, child development, human development, psychology, public health, policy, or a related field.
A well-established record of published research and grant funding.
Record of cross-disciplinary research and training (e.g., STEM, SPED, global early childhood research and policy).
History of working with communities, policymakers, and health professionals around child development issues.
Active engagement in public discourse regarding early education, child development, child/education policy, and social systems to support children and families
