Serve asprimarycontactperson between the Institute ofEducationSciencesandthe ProgramDirector(COEChair)regardingprogramoperations, administration, quarterlyandannualreportingandcompliance issuesrequired by the Department of Education
Coordinate travel arrangementsfor the Chair,ensuring that all necessaryfiles,materials,andsuppliesare assembledincludingdetailedtravelitinerary(domestic andinternational)
Handle sensitive written and telephone communications in a professional manner at all times
Answer, screen, and direct communications with utmost courtesy, professionalism, and confidentiality
Triages emails and telephone calls for action; resolves routine and complex inquiries; compose and edit emails, letters, memos, reports, and meeting agendas
Initiate correspondence and draft other written materials
Help maintain the Committee website and course sites
Provide support for the academicappointmentprocess
Assist in preparation of faculty annual reports using Interfolio
Prepare and coordinates letters of recommendation for Fellows and students
Organize on and off-campus meetings including dinners, workshops, distribute weekly announcements, and other special events
Monitor event expenses and prepare reports on event costs
Responsible for training office staff on office procedures and compliance protocols. Coordinates special projects
Researches and analyzes data to create reports, and may create other reports for grants and contracts.
Performs other related work as needed.
A minimum of one year providing administrative and grant-related support in a social science research laboratory or department
