Position Description: A postdoctoral position in the subject areas of control, reduced-order modeling, and structural dynamics is available at Rutgers University. Position is full time, and expected to start late spring –early summer of 2020. The position is fully funded with a recent award from Department of Energy ARPA-E's ATLANTIS Program. Details of the project are provided below. Candidates will work under the guidance of the following investigator: Dr. Laurent Burlion (co-PI).
Minimum Education and Experience:
Postdoctoral Associate Position in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Related Engineering Fields. It is critical that the candidate will be able to participate in the project for the full duration of the positions.
Minimum Requirements: 1.Highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or in a similar engineering field. 2.Published/accepted journal papers. 3.Programming skills in Matlab, Simulink, and Python. 4.Knowledge in the Linux operating system, open-source codes, GitHub, and parallel processing. 5.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent knowledge/experience in one or more of the following subject areas: Control, reduced-order modeling, and structural dynamics. Significant experience in Matlab, and Simulink.
