This System Application Support - Supply Chain Specialist II will be responsible for:
Maintaining department desktop computer system - Peoplesoft
Providing support and training for department computer system applications. Developing & preparing training materials.
Responding to requests from department users for information or assistance regarding application problems. Monitoring, resolving or escalating help desk issues as appropriate.
Facilitating installation of new equipment/software. Managing system security & issue access as appropriate. Assisting in integration of department software & participating in systems installations & upgrades. Assisting with electronic learning resource.
Monitoring work queues to identify trends and problem areas.
Developing and recommending changes in department policies and procedures. Communicating new policies and procedures to staff.
Maintaining Supply Chain product and vendor data bases. Queries tables in our procurement system to extract raw data and then turn that data into actionable information that enables decision making.
Recommending best practices for system and processes. Analyzing areas within the Supply Chain Systems for opportunities for automation & recommend enhancements to improve department effectiveness.
Performing troubleshooting as required.
Participating in annual projects including testing of enhancements and analyzing end results.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with 2 years of experience.
Peoplesoft functional knowledge preferred.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs.
Communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, as well as well-developed writing skills.
