Support and facilitate projects, excluding major gift work, for the University Advancement Engagement team. The Engagement Associate will take responsibility for a prospect engagement portfolio; provide support to Leadership Annual Giving, partner with the Advancement Events team to execute in-person and virtual events; and assist with Engagement-related efforts, not directly linked to cultivating and soliciting gifts. The Engagement Associate will report to the Leadership Annual Giving Officer and must have experience in managing multiple tasks and a good working knowledge of development and alumni engagement. Note: Evening and weekend hours may be required.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
One to two years experience in development, fundraising, event planning, and program management.
Knowledge of technology and experience in a virtual meeting environment and their applications to engagement and fundraising activities.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills along with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with others and build strong interpersonal relationships.
Discretion and sound judgment in dealing with highly confidential information.
Self-starter with creative ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet critical deadlines.
Previous experience working in higher education environment.
