10-week Summer Internship
LOCATIONThe student will work in the Union County Extension Office, Maynardville, TN at the Universityof Tennessee. Prior to starting the internship, interns will participate in aday-long orientation to familiarize them with Tennessee Extension Programs in ANR.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
A stipend in the amount of $6,400 for the 10-weekinternship is provided for each intern. As with any position, it is expectedthat an intern is able to get to and from work each day.Generally, interns ride with Extension agentsduring significant work-related travel and therefore do not receive a travelbudget allotment.
*Prepare an educational presentationand evaluate its impact
*Develop an economic analysis reportsummarizing farmers market activity
*Plan monthly educational children'sactivities at the Farmers' Market
*Perform clerical work to enhancecurrent Extension Programs
*Attend Junior 4-H Camp and serve asa leader
*Assist Farmers Market ProgramAssistant to plan, develop, and implement Farmers market promotional campaigns
*Evaluate, summarize, and report allprogram results
*Participate in farm visits,planning meetings, and other delivery methods
*Work with Union County ANR/CEDagent and county director, Shannon DeWitt, who will be the direct supervisorfor the internship
