Position Summary: The Program Manager is the primary administrative contact for new and existing students in the Master of Science and Professional MBA Programs in the Haub School of Business. The Program Manager will contribute significantly to student retention and persistence by providing assistance with academic advising, course registration, new student orientations, international student support, graduation & commencement activities, and other initiatives and activities that contribute toward providing an exceptional student experience. Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties): • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for students in the Master of Science and Professional MBA Programs. • Communicate daily with students (via email, phone, social media, etc.) to ensure they are fully informed of academic scheduling and deadlines associated with their programs, assist with course registration, and manage the drop/add and withdrawal process. • Oversee Starfish management including representing Grad HSB at month meetings. • Provide academic advising to students via phone, zoom, and in person. • Manage the Satisfactory Academic Progress and work with the University protocol for these issues. • Manage the Academic Forgiveness process. • Create, implement and manage innovative programs that improve the Graduate HSB student experience. • Manage SAS certification process (MSBIA students who’ve completed DSS 660 and 680) • Coordinate in conjunction with the Registrar to ensure that Degreeworks is up to date and accurate • Work directly with international students to ensure the needs of students holding visas are met in a timely and quality fashion. • Assist students in their final semester with managing graduation approvals, degree clearances and commencement activities. • Manage the deactivation process for students not enrolled. • Manage New Student Orientation/Resource Fair/Graduate Award Ceremony – In person and Virtual • Oversee weekly and monthly student communication – update calendar and work with Grad Assistants for design and layout via mailchimp. Keep current student lists up-to-date. Secondary Responsibilities: • Assist the Directors to ensure enrollment department goals are met. • Assist the Directors to ensure academic quality is delivered to students • Support and collaborate on special projects with team members from the Graduate Business Office. • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education/Training and Experience Required): • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience providing customer service • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes • Demonstrated success with providing exceptional high-level customer service • Demonstrated experience being adaptable, patient, and a self-starter • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability and desire to work with diverse student groups • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Saint Joseph’s University
Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s Degree • Previous professional experience working with graduate students
