Position: TemporaryAssistant Grant and Contract Financial Administrators Hours: This is a full-time position Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Pay: $22 Campus: Evanston Approximate start date: 11/30/2020 Approximate end date: 3/31/2021
Temporary Job Description:
Assistant Grant and Contract Financial Administrators (GCFA) in clinical trial and other award closeout expense reviews, preparing closeout workbook and checklist, and running NUFinancials and Cognos reports.
Assistant Grant and Contract Financial Administrators (GCFA) in invoicing
Assist transaction team with reviewing/approving expense reports, direct payment requests (DPR), requisitions, payment requests as needed.
Processes system journals to transfer residual balances and/or final account deficits as directed by GCFAs.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas) and Word
Financial research administration of Higher Education for at least one year or successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree in a major such as computer science, accounting, business administration, finance, or related field
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and Visual Basic programming
Post-award grant management for over two years
Familiarity with running NUFinancials and Cognos reports
2-3 years of experience in accounting, and or University business operations
Experience working with the OMB circulars and sponsored project rules and regulations
