Advertised Job Summary:
Assist in conducting clinical research and education related to the early detection of lung cancer and lung cancer survivorship and their family members (dyads). The Research Associate will work with the principal investigators, co-investigators, grant staff and others to assist with implementation of an intervention study and other educational and research components of the grant. This position will work with the research team to recruit adult participants, executing informed consent, collecting and facilitating the management of data; organizing findings; and preparing reports, professional presentations and manuscripts.
Recruitment and retention of research participants. Building rapport and sustaining communication with potential and actual participants, colleagues at research sites, and the research team. Maintain complete and secure participant records. Assist with participant transportation and incentive distribution issues. Assist with the development of intervention materials and management of research data, uploading and downloading data files, and communicating with vendors and contracted services as well as data manager and statistician.
Assist in the preparation of materials and deliverables related to dissemination (grant reports, posers, manuscripts). Facilitating administrative needs such as coping, printing and mailings.
Provides administrative support for research teams and their meetings which includes: coordinating schedules for on/of site team meetings and community partners; agenda preparation, taking and maintaining meeting minutes, telecommunication connections, and assuring follow up on action items and time-lines set in meetings.

Master’s degree preferred. A valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle for transportation is required.
