The Executive Aide performs a variety of complex secretarial, administrative and clerical tasks for the Department of Computing. Tasks include, but are not necessarily limited to:
coordinating the flow of work and people through the Department office;
entering the Department’s course schedule each semester;
drafting correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes;
maintaining the Department calendar;
processing travel claims;
assisting in planning meetings and departmental events;
composing documents; purchasing supplies;
scheduling and supervising student workers;
processing graduate student and other student worker contracts; and
compiling information for report preparation.
This position works under somewhat limited supervision in performing complex office activities requiring on-going analysis, independent judgment and discretion. Work is highly varied and may change over time depending on Departmental projects and activities.
