We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced full time, day shift ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER (REGISTERED NURSE 3) to join our Dermatology Clinic & our Dermatology Surgery Clinic, both located at the Roosevelt Medical Center in the University District of Seattle. Our clinics provide generalized and specialized dermatology care, including the treatment of skin cancer, hair loss, and contact dermatitis. The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide hands-on support for our Nurse Manager and will direct the daily operations of both facilities.
SCHEDULE: The Assistant Nurse Manager will work 8 hour days, Monday - Friday. This is a no weekends, no holidays position.
Performs patient assessments and nursing diagnoses
Provides care planning, patient evaluations, patient advocacy, admissions and discharges
Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions
Promotes effective communication among staff and patients
Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolution.
Leads the hiring processes for medical assistants and RNs
Assists with planning, and implements orientation and educational programs for staff
Current license AND two years of professional nursing experience, or equivalent education/experience
Proven leadership experience as a Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, Committee Chair, or a position with similar management responsibilities
An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
Previous work experience in an ambulatory setting
Previous work experience in a dermatology setting
