Under the direction of the Primary Investigator at the Portland VA Health Services Research & Development (HSR&D), the Research Associate will lead coordination efforts in data pooling, data visualization, and manuscript preparation for the CDMRP FITBIR: Accelerating Synthesis of TBI Research Using Novel Methods (FASTRUN Methods) grant.
The Research Associate will be responsible for project coordination with internal and external grant collaborators and contribute to research design, data management, and data analysis, including complex data harmonization and synthesis methods unique to cross-study, individual participant level data combination.
Masters Degree with major courses in relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with major courses in field of research and 5 years of relevant experience
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a collaborative environment, prioritize project tasks, and make independent decisions
Experience conducting quantitative data analyses using statistical software such as RStudio
Knowledge of policies, procedures, and guidelines that govern projects, including those specific to research-based projects (e.g., IRB)
Knowledge and access to FITBIR database
