Birmingham-Southern College (BSC) seeks candidates for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor of Accounting beginning fall 2021.  The College seeks an exceptional candidate committed to its philosophy of liberal education regardless of fields of specialization in Accounting.  Candidates should hold a doctorate in Accounting or expect to complete their degree by August, 2021. The college seeks an individual who will provide innovative and energetic teaching and who has a publication record in peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in teaching, ongoing research which can involve undergraduates, continued development of the accounting major, contributions to interdisciplinary programs, supporting the Business Administration major, and participation in the general education curriculum.  Teaching responsibilities will include three classes per term and an intensive course during January.  BSC is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their teaching, research, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
