To provide laboratory and clinical instruction to students in the dental hygiene program
Essential Duties :
Provide instruction in a variety of settings including classroom, the laboratory and clinic; ensure students meet course, program, and student learning outcomes
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. 3 years of recent dental hygiene clinical experience in general dental practice 2. Recent (within 3 years) continuing education in the subjects of ultrasonics and hand instrumentation 3. Experience with practice management software 4. Experience with digital and film based imaging 5. Ability to effectively use interpersonal communication skills 6. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing 7. Ability to interpret and translate information and communicate it to others 8. Ability to effectively interact with diverse populations of students, colleagues, and the public
1. Bachelor degree, or higher, in dental hygiene, or a related field, or currently enrolled 2. Prior teaching experience in a dental hygiene program 3. Prior teaching experience with adults 4. Documented background in current education theory and practice, concepts relative to clinical dental hygiene and radiography 5. Recent experience in a practice setting specializing in periodontics 6. Experience with Eaglesoft Practice Management Software
Salary Range: $ 35/ hour
