This position reports to the Assistant Vice Provost for Strategic Student Success Initiatives in the Division of Student Success. The Office of Strategy & Innovation is charged with the research, design, implementation, and evaluation of new and innovative student success strategies. Working collaboratively with campus design teams or inter-institutional design teams, we identify and implement solutions to UNC Greensboro’s most pressing student success challenges utilizing a data informed approach. UNCG is committed to the success of its students, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds.
This position will provide support to UNCG’s efforts to improve the experience of UNCG’s transfer students and partnerships with area Community Colleges. The Assistant Director (Transfer Initiatives) is a full-time, twelve-month, exempt position. The person in this position works collaboratively with colleagues campus-wide in order to improve transfer articulation practices including credit evaluations and annual reviews of Baccalaureate Degree Plans and established Articulation Agreements.
Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in higher education required. Master’s in higher education administration, curriculum and instruction or other relevant degree is preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with serving transfer students, managing transfer student services, working with or at a North Carolina Community College.
Experience with transfer articulation.
Experience with data interpretation and reporting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, desire to work in a team-oriented environment, experience working with multiple constituencies, and ability to collaborate with a diverse staff.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize time-sensitive tasks with competing timelines.
