SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
This position works with specific cohorts and fulfills specific Title III grant objectives, including the implementation of co-curricular activities that promote and support student learning and engagement, utilization of data to monitor and assist student academic planning, and development of programs that strengthen the student retention and completion. Each Activity Coordinator will provide support to one of the identified cohorts (Minority Males & Low Income Students or Momentum Year Students) and develop retention based, co-curricular activities that promote student learning and engagement designed to (a) reduce student isolation and low motivation, (b) engage and inspire learning and personal growth and (c) provide programs based on researched best practices and holistic support for students.

This position is grant funded, with funding through September 30, 2025. 

OVERALL PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.

INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Accepts responsibility for the timely preparation of student outcomes assessment efforts of the faculty in planning, collecting data, and reporting dates as they relate to course outcomes, program outcomes, general education outcomes, and developmental program outcomes. Actively participates in setting annual division goals and objectives, completing OIR reporting forms, collecting data, analyzing data, and preparing a report using guidelines established by OIR.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Coordinate day to day implementation of specific project activities, including student interventions, coordination of marketing efforts, and data recording relevant to the specific activity.
2. Support activity leaders in implementing project tasks, based upon projected timelines.
3. Advise activity leaders on needs of relevant student groups.
4.  Support students in coordination with relevant on campus offices.
5. Assist with the collection, analysis and conversion of data related to Title III grant operations and with evaluations for grant funded operations.
6. Serve as lead to one of the identified cohorts (Minority Males & Low Income Students or Momentum Year Students) and develop retention based, co curricular activities.
7. Design and facilitate trainings for college staff and faculty on topics that will improve overall service to students within the assigned cohort, based on information gathered from researched best practices, training, and direct experience with cohort members.
8. Maintains records of students served and services provided. Maintains essential records and files and assists in maintaining all EM/SS self-service forms and web content.
9. Utilize strong organizational, communication and management skills to successfully manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
10. Assists with front line services for walk in coverage as well as responding to phone, email or social media inquiries from students and college personnel utilizing a demonstrated knowledge of college policy, processes and procedures related to EM and SS departments, as needed and appropriate to the students served by the grant.
