The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT) invites applicants and nominations for the position of Financial Aid IT Technologist III. The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 150 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics.
Assists prospective and currently enrolled students in financing their educational pursuits. Provides technical support and problem resolution for students and Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships Staff. Maintains systems integrity in the use of software and hardware used in processing financial aid. Serves as a beta tester with vender (Ellucian) for Banner Financial Aid System upgrades. To write technical program statements (SQL) in order to provide requested data from relational database for statistical analysis. Works closely with Enrollment services IT Tech Team, OIT Application & Development Team and DBA team to insure proper performance of systems' programs and interfaces. Duties include electronic file submissions to the Department of Education and private student loan entities, resolution of programmatic issues, and researching database information to assist with report creation.
