APostdoctoral Fellow position in vascular pharmacology is available in Dr. Francesca-FangLiao laboratory, Department of Pharmacology, College of Medicine. The postdoctoralfellow will investigate potential crucial roles of miRNA21 as mechanistic linkbetween peripheral and CNS inflammation using multidisciplinary approachesincluding cell culture and both acute (systemic LPS) and chronic mouse models.With direct guidance of Dr. Francesca-Fang Liao focusing on this NIH-fundedproject; specially on miRNA21's role in modulating glial response (e.g., bothmicroglial and astrocytic response). The postdoctoral fellow will beresponsible for performing experiments proposed for this project, includingmouse learning and qRT-PCR, memory behaviors, quantitative histology and.RNAseq analysis.

Preferencewill be given to candidates with one year or less postdoctoral experience with prolificexperience in studying molecular and cellular mechanism of neurodegeneration; especially,background in Alzheimer's disease, inflammation and dementia.
