The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for facilitating strategies to increase efforts in building a strong minority talent pipeline for positions across the 16 colleges and System Office of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). The position will assist the Human Resources department with developing inclusive job descriptions and planning and facilitating recruitment, retention and engagement strategies to address current needs. The role will provide general support to KCTCS Employment and Compensation departments.

Coordinate with Colleges and System Office to understand talent acquisition needs and develop a plan to meet goals and objectives with a focus on minority talent acquisition.
Utilize multiple recruitment channels such as social media, professional networks, job/career fairs and industry contacts to source candidates with a focus on minority recruitment effort.
Act as a consultant to Colleges and System Office when developing job descriptions to ensure they are inclusive and provide no barriers to the application process (includes potential travel across the Commonwealth of Kentucky).
Assist with new hire orientation and employee on-boarding.
Coordinate efforts to address retention and employee engagement.
General administrative tasks to assist the Human Resources Employment and Compensation teams.
Bachelor's Degree (Business, Human Resources or related field) and three (3) years of position-related experience, or equivalent.
Master's Degree (Business, Human Resources or related field) and five (5) years of position-related experience, or equivalent.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR, SHRM) Certification preferred.
KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
