In addition to developing and executing a new emphasis area program, successful candidates will be expected to achieve a strong balance across the three domains of teaching, scholarship, and service. First, they will be strong teachers who utilize best practices in teaching and enjoy student mentoring. Third, they will possess a cooperative spirit to work collegially with others on university and departmental service committees. The position offers scheduling flexibility (other than class times) and faculty members are encouraged to use up to eight hours per week in research, consultation, direct service (e.g. private practice) and/or supervision.
