JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assignedsupervisor, this position conducts rodent studies and surgical procedures,handles rodent colonies, and writes animal protocols for IACUC approval withinthe Department of Physiology.
Performs rodent studies and surgical procedures.
Assists with handling rodent colonies and writing animal protocols for IACUC approval.
Conducts genotyping and enters data collected from rodent experiments into data analysis programs.
Prepares data sheets for statistical analysis.
Maintains lab equipment and archived reagents.
Trains and supervises other laboratory personnel.
Performs other related duties assigned.
